Anna’s Hummingbird in Red Hot Pokers. Hummingbirds love this flower.
“Every bird, every tree, every flower reminds me what a blessing and privilege it is just to be alive.” – Marty Rubin
I caught these images quite by surprise, wandering through a spring wildflower garden. I was taking pictures of some digitalis when I heard the tell-tale “zip zip” sound of a hummingbird flitting about. Turning my attention to the yellow flowers they seemed to love, since they came back again and again. I’d say at least 2 if not four birds flew in and out of these flowers, drinking their nectar.
I’m told these flowers range in color from red to orange to yellow, but their name is Red Hot Poker. They are also called the Torch Flower.
My merch makes for great Holiday gifts. The 2022 calendar, gift cards or a print of one of my images. Great gifts, help keep my website running with new images. A win/win! Go to the “Merch” tab on my website: michaelreiningimages.com/merch
