have been a photographer since childhood. My passion ignited on a 50 mile hike in the Sierra as a boy scout. My compact instamatic camera got a workout. Shortly after, I graduated to an SLR camera. I wore my first SLR, a Praktica, around my neck for almost all my senior year in high school. I live in the most wonderful place on the planet, the San Francisco bay area. The City is amongst the most picturesque in the world, and with good reason. There are so many iconic features, most notably the Golden Gate Bridge. Beyond the City, we have the amazing California coast both north and south of the bridge. Parks and preserves are always close at hand. I love the fact that I can be downtown and within 5 or 10 minutes, I can be deep in a park with no cars or traffic and few people.
