More Gay Pride. It’s my birthday!
These are a few throwback images from the Gay Pride parade in 2018 and from the Castro district, ground zero for the gay community in San Francisco. The Castro, in case you were wondering, is a perfectly normal neighborhood. A Walgreens drug store, a produce market, a supermarket, a hardware store, Starbucks, restaurants, bars, a historic movie theatre (not gay porn), banks and barber shops.I mention this by way of saying, we’re queer and we’re here, and we’re not monsters or criminals. Just average people pursuing happiness in our own fashion. Get used to it.
