From my first photoshoot since I got my camera back from repair. Feels SO good! There was not really anything that I could think of to capture. The rain had passed, so the skys were relatively clear, just some insignificant cirrus clouds. The sunset was my time frame for planning. I decided to experiment and take a picture of the Coit Tower with the sun setting behind. Shooting from the Embarcadero more or less westward, into the setting sun. When I arrived at my planned location, I wasn’t expecting to have such a graceful looking brick building to create a nice foreground. The palm tree was cleverly placed as well.

have been a photographer since childhood. My passion ignited on a 50 mile hike in the Sierra as a boy scout. My compact instamatic camera got a workout. Shortly after, I graduated to an SLR camera. I wore my first SLR, a Praktica, around my neck for almost all my senior year in high school. I live in the most wonderful place on the planet, the San Francisco bay area. The City is amongst the most picturesque in the world, and with good reason. There are so many iconic features, most notably the Golden Gate Bridge. Beyond the City, we have the amazing California coast both north and south of the bridge. Parks and preserves are always close at hand. I love the fact that I can be downtown and within 5 or 10 minutes, I can be deep in a park with no cars or traffic and few people.
