Some images for Throwback Thursday. Back to 2014 when I worked on a ship on the Bering Sea in Alaska. I first joined the vessel in Dutch Harbor. This remote island on the Aleutian Archipelago is home to lots of bald eagles. Occasionally, when they felt they might get fish scraps, they would roost on the ship, even at the top of the gangway entrance to the boat.
It was because of the unique beauty and wildlife I decided to get a DSLR camera. Here is one of the first pictures I took looking toward Dutch Harbor at night.
Finally, one of the last images I took while moving from Homer toward Sawmill Bay near Valdez. Some orcas in the area of Ragged Island off the coast of Alaska. A pod of orcas, including a baby were off in the distance. I thought they might be hunting.
